Now I've looked at all the proposed songs and frankly they're not that easy to play on an electric guitar. The difference between an electric guitar and classical is that you have a much wider variety of sounds to choose from (for example the all-know 'distortion').
Songs that you could play on an electric guitar for a beginner should help the player get acquainted with the guitar.
When I switched from acoustic to electric guitar I mostly played the songs I already had learned.
Songs like: -Smoke On The Water (Deep Purple)
-Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes)
-Come As You Are (Nirvana)
-Otherside (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
These songs are great for playing note-by-note riffs on an electric guitar. Throw in a bit of distortion (I assume you play through an amp), or any other effects, like: phaser, wah, flanger, delay, reverb etc. (check out some cool effect pedals on the net). I'm sure you'll have loads of fun.
Other songs you might consider playing are chord oriented songs: -Highway To Hell (AC/DC)
-Should I Stay Or Should I Go (The Clash)
-Working Class Hero (John Lennon)
Learn power chords and a whole new world will open up to you when it comes to electric guitar playing. Learn the pentatonic and blues scale, practice it a lot and jam through a couple of tracks by playing one note, two notes, three notes, bend etc. and you'll start to get the idea on how to solo.
Don't forget! Practice makes perfect!
